Why does my pet need a collar tag if it has a microchip?

A door is mistakenly left open by a child, an elderly parent or an unwitting adult. At worst, disaster strikes unexpectedly. The fact is, even “inside pets” can be separated from their owners so the collar tag serves as visual identification and we recommend attaching it to your pet's collar that way if your pet is ever lost the finder will know that your pet is microchipped and they can contact us to assist with the reunification
