What do I do if my microchip number is already registered but my pet was just chipped?

Microchip numbers are all pre-programmed with a unique 15 digit number.  

If your pet was newly chipped but the microchip number is already registered in the database and the pet details do not match your pet please send an email to petlink@petlink.net with a picture of the barcode sticker and the name of the facility who performed the implant for verification purposes. 

Microchip mix-ups most commonly occur because someone keyed in their pet's microchip number in error which does not do them or you any good so please alert us to any irregularities ASAP.
