How do I request a transfer of ownership?

If your newly adopted pet is already registered in PetLink you will be required to submit a transfer request along with proof of ownership and a onetime fee of $24.99.  We accept the following as proof of ownership - please note that any and all documentation must be in your name (we will not accept documents in the previous owners name):  

• An adoption agreement or bill of sale 
• A current pet license from your city 
• A current rabies certificate 
• Vet records or bills dated within the last 12 months

If you are unable to provide documentation in your name and you have contact with the registered owner on file they can log into their PetLink account and request to transfer ownership to you
