My pet was registered by my vet — how do I add it to my name and update the details? | How do I take over an account my vet created for my pet?
Your pet's account already exists — you just need to access it. Follow these steps:
Step 1 — Find your username
Your username is the email address used when the vet registered your pet. Use the Forgot Username tool at https://www.petlink.net/account/forgot-username/ — enter your pet's microchip number and we will send the username to the email on file via SMS.
Step 2 — Log in
Go to https://www.petlink.net/account/member-login/ and sign in with that email address. If you do not know the password, reset it at https://www.petlink.net/account/forgot-password/
Step 3 — Update your pet's details
Once logged in, click on your pet's name to open their profile, then click Edit Pet Information in the left menu to update the name, breed, or any other details.
