Owner says chip not showing as registered after integration

A pet owner says their microchip is not showing as registered even though we submitted it — what should I check?

  1. Check your most recent PetLink results email to see whether that chip appears in the failures list and what error was reported. The most common causes are a phone number that is not exactly 10 digits, a missing email address, or an invalid microchip number format.
  2. If the chip does not appear in the results email at all, verify that the microchip number starts with 981 — PetLink only processes its own chips.
  3. If everything looks correct and the chip is still not registered, contact PetLink at support@petlink.net with the microchip number and the owner's name.
