Some microchips came back as errors in upload in my integration

Some microchips in our upload came back as errors — what does that mean and what do we do?

After each nightly run, PetLink sends a results email to your clinic's account address listing successful registrations, failures with an explanation of what caused each failure, and any pets currently on an open Lost Pet Report.

Common error causes include: invalid microchip number format, phone numbers that are not exactly 10 digits, and missing email addresses. Review the error explanation in the results email, correct the data in your software — the chip will be picked up automatically that night.

If you cannot identify the cause of an error, contact PetLink at support@petlink.net with the microchip number and the error message shown.
