# What information does PetLink collect from my software to register a pet?

PetLink collects the following from your practice management records:

**Pet:** name, species, breed, gender, primary color, date of birth (optional).

**Owner:** first, middle, and last name, email address, address, city, state, zip code, country, and at least one 10-digit phone number (primary phone required; home and cell are optional).

If no email address or valid 10-digit phone number is present in your records, the registration will come through as an error.
