How does PetLink automatic registration work?

Each night at approximately 3am EST, PetLink connects to your practice management software and reviews any pet records added or updated in the last 24 hours. It checks each microchip number starting with 981 against the PetLink database — if the chip is not yet registered, PetLink creates a new registration using the pet and owner information in your records and sends the owner a Welcome Email with their login details.

If the chip is already registered, PetLink reports the pet name and owner name back to your account for verification.
